What is the Personal Development requirement? Any activity can be considered professional development as long as you are learning something that will help you grow and develop in some way.

The person facilitating the session must also have some level of expertise in the subject. What Professional Development activities do you recommend? This requirement can be fulfilled in many ways! For example, training sessions within your remote volunteer organization are more than acceptable.

The main focus of the PD is that you are able to learn and develop new skills; Thus, look for one that interests you the most!

All ThinkTanks will be happening online and in person! A link will be made available for the various sessions and you would need to attend the ThinkTank applicable to your level.

These links will be sent to you by email upon the release of the ThinkTank schedule. The Gold level is the only exception; it can be completed in one semester or two consecutive semesters.

Many of our SVB staff and volunteers had to register for a level more than once before they finished it! We understand that students have many commitments to balance. The first day you can start completing requirements for a particular level is always the day after the last day of classes of the previous semester. The deadline is faithfully the last day of classes of the semester for which you registered for. As of Fall , we are introducing a deadline to register for the program each semester.
